NVA TEAMS EXPERIENCING TREMENDOUS GROWTH
DURING '97 SEASON

AVERAGING MORE THAN 1,200 FANS PER MATCH

SAN DIEGO, CALIF., The National Volleyball Association, the premier women's professional indoor volleyball league, continues to grow in popularity. Since relocating its teams to new US markets for its 1997 season, the average attendance per match has quadrupled to more than 1,200 per contest.

Three matches are scheduled for this Saturday, March 8 in the NVA.

The Colorado Thunder will host the Nebraska Tornados at 7:30 p.m. at Regis University in Denver. The Utah Golden Spikers will host the Arizona Flames at 7:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake City College-South Campus and the undefeated Iowa Blizzard will take on the St. Louis Spirits at 7:30 p.m. at Johnson in Des Moines.

A member organization of USA Volleyball, the National Volleyball Association is the premier women's professional indoor volleyball league in the United States. The players and the coaches in the NVA are many of the best in the game. The players include former and future Olympians, former and future National Team members, former NCAA All-Americans and pro beach players.
