(San Diego) - The St. Louis Spirits of the National Volleyball Association, the premier women's indoor league, has completed its roster for the 1997 season. The Spirits, co-coached by former USA National Team assistant coach Kent Miller, and former William Woods University coach Tom Gotsch, includes many of the best volleyball players to ever play in Missouri. Missouri native, Lori Endicott, was the St. Louis Spirits' first round pick. Endicott joined the USA National Team in 1989, went on to win an Olympic Bronze Medal in 1992 and played this summer in the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. Endicott led Willard High School in Springfield to a Missouri State Championship in 1981 before going on to the University of Nebraska where she was a two-time All-American and two-time Big Eight Player of the Year. Second round pick, also a Missouri native, Angelica Jackson Moore is from East St. Louis. Moore earned NCAA All-American honors while at San Diego State University. Moore had a record- setting 52 kills in one match at San Diego State. Moore is now an assistant coach at Southeast Missouri State University.
