FIVB: Roque and Castro won the FIVB in Puerto Rico Aug. 21, 1994. Roque and Castro placed fifth in the 1994 FIVB bonus pool competition and she was 13th in 1995. She is 38th in career earnings ($23,375).
WPVA CAREER: Roque is fourth in earnings $243,907.21. Roque has been in 92 final fours with three career wins. Roque has placed second a record 34 times, finished third 26 times and posted 29 fourths. Roque won the sportswomanship award in 1991, 1992, 1995 and 1996, and was voted the top blocker in 1991 and 1993. lyn Kirby, Fontana, Richardson, Lori Forsythe and Castro twice, and Shupryt-Knoop and Gayle Stammer once.
AMATEUR: Roque was a six-time USVBA All-American.
COLLEGE: Roque attended both the University of California at Los Angeles (1977-79) and Utah State University (1979-83) where she was an All-American volleyball player.

PERSONAL: Roque's parents are Eligio and Barbara Roque. She has a brother (Nathanial) and a sister (Julie). Roque has a master's degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara (1988). Roque teaches and coaches at Santa Monica College. Her hobbies are cats, yoga and golf. Roque played professionally in Italy for five years. Her sister is currently serving in the White House (Office of Schience & Technology Policy).
