GRAND SLAM: Castro is sixth in earnings ($65,430.25) by winning two of 32 grand slam events. Castro and Lori Forsythe teamed in 1991 to win the Shootout and U. S. Open. Castro has 15 top four finishes, including two wins, four seconds, five thirds and four fourths. Castro and Forsythe were the first team (men or women) to go through a shootout undefeated (1991 at Reno).

FIVB: Castro and Deb Richardson tied for ninth in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games as the pair qualified by finishing second in the United States Trials. Castro and Elaine Roque won the FIVB event in Puerto Rico Aug. 21, 1994. COLLEGE: Castro attended both Los Angeles (CA) Valley College (1975-77) and California State University at Long Beach (77-80). The 1976 LAVC team won the state title and placed second in 1977. She was all-conference at CSULB.
HIGH SCHOOL: Castro competed in volleyball, basketball and gymnastics at Crescenta where she was voted the school's top female athlete in 1975.
PERSONAL: Castro's parents are Marty and Marge Wolze. She has one sister (Jan). Her father played professional baseball. She was married June 1, 1985, to Larry Castro. The Castros have one son (Larry). Her hobbies are sewing, crafts, baking, dancing, and cross county and water skiing.
