Nelson has competed in five grand slam events and is tied for 92nd in earnings ($350). Nelson was 17th in the U. S. Open with Kristine Bailey and a 13th in the Nationals with Melissa Allen in 1994.

WPVA Career:

Nelson is 80th in career earnings with $2,920. Her best career finishes are 13ths in 1994 at Puerto Rico and Austin with Melanie Sullivan, in Myrtle Beach with Mary Holland, in Pismo Beach and Manhattan Beach with Allen, and 1995 in Puerto Rico with Heather Hafner, Tiffany Anderson in Old Orchard Beach and Liz Pagano in Portland.

FIVB:

Nelson and Janice Harrer attempted to qualify for the 1995 Hermosa event and posted a 3-3 match mark.

Partnerships:

Nelson has played in 27 events with 14 different partners, including five stops with Pagano, four with Allen, three with Sullivan, two each with Linda Moseley, Berkebile, Hafner and Bailey, and one each with Michal Clingman, Hoyt, Barbra Belding, Mary Holland, Alissa Evans, Lael Perlstrom and Anderson.

College:

Nelson lettered in track, volleyball and basketball at Modesto (Cal.) Junior College (1982-84) before competing in track at UC-Irvine. She earned All-American track honors at Modesto.

High School:

Nelson competed in volleyball, basketball and track at Ripon.

Personal:

Nelson's parents are Frank and Sylvia Mundt. Mundt has a brother (John) and a sister (Allison). She is a licensed real estate agent and works for Marriott in sales and marketing.
