LONG BEACH STATE TO BATTLE STANFORD IN NCAA WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SEMI-FINALS

SPOKANE, Washington, December 16, 1997 -- The Long Beach State 49ers will
battle the Stanford Cardinal this Thursday evening, December 18th in the NCAA
Women's Volleyball National Championship Semi-Finals, live at 8:00 p.m.
Pacific, 11:00 p.m. Eastern, nationwide on The Cable Radio Network and
worldwide on more than 350 sites on World Wide Web.

The Long Beach State/Stanford live broadcast is available on Cable Radio
Network TV affiliates Channel 3 (TCI Cable) in Kennewick, Washington; Channel
11 (Century Communications) in Pullman, Washington; Channel 23 (Summit Cable
TV) in Seattle and Channel 11 (Century Communications) in Moscow, Idaho. 

The Long Beach State/Stanford Semi-Final winner will advance to Saturday
afternoon's NCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship Final, facing the
winner of Thursday's Penn State/Florida Semi-Final.  Saturday's NCAA Women's
Volleyball National Championship Final will be carried on a taped-delay basis
starting at 4:00 p.m. Pacific, 7:00 p.m. Eastern.
