19. November 13 in Chicago, Illinois at a gala tribute to Steve Goodman at Chicago's Medinah Temple, 600 N. Wabash. Others scheduled to perform are Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine and Arlo Guthrie. The event will benefit Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music. 20. November 20 in New York City at a Rainforest benefit at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. He will be one of several peformers. It is a 3800 seat room. Metropolitan Entertainment is promoting it. (Their website is www.metroent.com)

Jacskon's new album "The Next Voice You Hear: The Best of Jackson Browne" will be released on September 23, 1997. A tour in support of the album is expected in early 1998.
