A concert featuring the Hamilton High School Choir and Jackson Browne will follow the UCLA women's volleyball game against 18th-ranked Arizona at 7:30pm at Pauley Pavilion. The Bruins are 3-0 and ranked 19th. Tickets to the volleyball match ($5 for adults and $3 for students) are good for the concert.

  9. September 23 in New York City. Jackson will be honored at this year's Amnesty International Spotlight Awards.

  10. September 26 on the Late Night with David Letterman television show.

  18. October 24-27 in Italy. Jackson will be at the Premio Tenco Awards in Italy.

  19. November 13 in Chicago, Illinois at a gala tribute to Steve Goodman at Chicago's Medinah Temple, 600 N. Wabash. Others scheduled to perform are Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine and Arlo Guthrie. The event will benefit Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music. Tickets go on sale September 13 through Ticketmaster (312/559-1212). Ticket prices are $35-250. The best seats in the house and a private buffet dinner are $500.

  20. November 20 in New York City at a Rainforest benefit at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. He will be one of several peformers. It is a 3800 seat room. Metropolitan Entertainment is promoting it. (Their website is www.metroent.com)

  21. December 1 in Washington DC. Jackson will be participating in the Metro TeenAIDS benefit.

  22. December 3 in Ottawa, Canada.

Jacskon's new album "The Next Voice You Hear: The Best of Jackson Browne" will be released on September 23, 1997. A tour in support of the album is expected in early 1998.
